Uma Belor Longhouse is one of the best Kayan longhouses, that consists of seven connected blocks with close to a total of one hundred and one families and estimated to be of 700 people, is the longest interrupted longhouse structure in Sarawak.
This longhouse experience takes you to appreciate the intricate handicrafts of the Kayan people with their colorful beads, and beautiful wood carvings. A day in a life of the local Kayan at their orchard and in the evening be fascinated with the graceful dance of the ‘Datun Julut’ with the accompanied by the iconic sape.

Orchard visit
meet from your hotel in Bintulu or Miri, traverse on the countryside road of Miri-Bintulu road towards Sungai Asap to Belaga for 3 hours, for a visit to Uma Belor Longhouse.
Upon arrival, enjoy a warm welcoming and following a traditional lunch at the longhouse walk around to experience the ‘longhouse living’ and visit their farming and orchard. After proceed on to the lake for activities such as fishing and boat paddling.
After clean up enjoy dinner with the host and get entertained with the traditional ‘Datun Julut’ a welcoming dance of the Dayak and the beautiful sound of the ‘Sape’ performance.
