Tabin Wildlife Reserve Experience – 2D1N

Meet up at Lahad Datu town and you will be transferred to Tabin Wildlife Reserve by road which takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. Upon arrival check in to the attractive timber lodge which comes complete with private balcony, air conditioner, ceiling fan and a hot shower. Situated within the rainforest, near the Lipad river this reserve is home to a wide range of birds, insects and mammals. In the afternoon visit the Lipad mud volcano which provides salt lick for the wildlife and most frequented by the birds and animals. Trek back along trail to the lodge. After dinner watch the slide presentation on Tabin Reserve and followed by a night safari to observe the nocturnal wildlife. One can also observe the night clear sky embedded with constellations!

You may opt to join the early morning walk to discover some of Tabin’s rich collections of more than 300 bird species. After breakfast, drive to the core area for animal spotting or photo session before trekking to the lush green rainforest known for its rich diversity of flora and fauna. Visit the Lipad waterfall. Take a dip in the natural and refreshing pool. Alternatively explore the surrounding beauty or just relax. After lunch, depart back to Lahad Datu.
