Orou Sapulot

The Orou Sapulot trip offers an exciting blend of adventure, culture, and fun activities. Where is Orou Sapulot

Nestled in the interior of Sabah, Orou Sapulot is situated deep within the rainforest near the Kalimantan border, approximately a four-hour drive from Kota Kinabalu City. Surrounded by lush greenery, the area experiences humid conditions with an average temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. In the evening, the temperature drops to around 23 degrees Celsius, providing a pleasantly cool night air.

Get picked up by our from your hotel at 8 am, and transfer to to Labang village in Sapulot, upon arrival take a short boat ride to Pungiton Camp and enjoy traditional lunch. After go for a short trail walk to the Tinahas Caves.  Enjoy the beautiful cave formation of stalactite and stalagmite, as you walk through the cave with an underground stream and chance to see some swiftlets and bats.  Later you may opt for a refreshing swim by the river.

An early breakfast, before getting transferred to Batu Punggul a half day excursion to Batu Punggul.  About 45 minutes drives takes you to the Tataluan, with a 10 minutes boat trip to greet you is the 800 foot hight limestone pinnacle of Batu Punggol.  Here on hike to the summit of the Batu Punggol for a magnificent view of the jungle canopy below.

Later enjoy picnic lunch by the riverbank and back to the village. In the evening join the villagers for a cultural show and traditional delicacy, on some wine and local bamboo dancing.
