Accommodation
Pendant Hut, perched at an impressive altitude of 3,289 meters on Mount Kinabalu, it is just a stone’s throw away from Laban Rata Rest House. Your pre-climb briefing, held every day from 3-4 pm, will get your adrenaline pumping and ready for the adventure ahead. Get ready to nestle down in dormitory-style accommodation with sleeping bag to keep you comfy and warm, in a non-heated space with a shared bathroom (without hot shower). You can boast to send your to your friends and family postcards from the highest post box certified by the Malaysia Book of Records, right here at Pendant Hut.

Once you hit the 6 km milestone, revel in the cozy confines of Pendant Hut, an idyllic cabin that’s perfect for unwinding with loved ones or losing yourself in a good book while soaking up the sublime sunset views from its carefully positioned outdoor spots.
As a bonus, your stay at Pendant Hut comes with a complimentary via ferrata experience dubbed ‘Walk The Torq’ (WTT), which you can choose to skip if you’re feeling too exhausted after the summit climb.

Between 6:15 am to 6:30 am get pick up from your hotel at Kota Kinabalu and journey about 2 hours drive towards Kinabalu National Park Headquarter for registration. Please bring along your original passport (for International travelers) and Original MyKad Identification (for Malaysian) for verification during registration.
Meet up with your mountain guide after registration and you will be given a Climbing ID Tag, which you are required to wear throughout the hike. Remember to collect your packed lunch (inform us upon making your reservation should you have dietary restrictions). Later get transferred by the National Park shuttle to Timpohon Gate, to start your 6 km hike up to Pendant Hut.
Upon arrival at Pendant Hut, attend the mandatory via ferrata safety briefing at 3.30 pm (missed out on this briefing, you are not entitled to join the via ferrata activity the next day. Enjoy the stunning view from the mountain area while waiting for dinner, which is served in Laban Rata at 4.30 pm.
Meals Pack Lunch & Dinner
At 1.30 am and gear up, after taking your supper start the remaining 2.85 km journey with your mountain guide towards the Summit of Low’s Peak that is the highest point standing at 4095.2 meters.
*Reminder that for the safety of climber, Sabah Park has a cut-off time for the Sayat-Sayat Check Point at 5.30 am those arrived after 5.30 am will not allowed to proceed with summit climb.
Watch and enjoy the spectacular shades of the sunrise over the majestic Mount Kinabalu. Take turns at the Low’s Peak summit for photos, always pay close attention to your safety when at the summit plateau. Next, head to the starting point of the WTT via Ferrata (introductory via ferrata, French grade PD) meet your via ferrata trainer at Sayat Sayat Hut @ 3,668 meter. All climbers must arrive at the Via Ferrata starting point before 7.15 am, climber who miss the cut-off time will not be allowed on the Via Ferrata.
Later descend back to the Pendant Hut for a well earned breakfast. Check out and hike down to Timpohon Gate where the shuttle will take you to the National Park, collect your well deserve certificate. Our transfer will take you back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu or at Kundasang.

- Ideally for 12 years and above.
- Climbers booked with the Ferrata, will begin to trek up from Timpohon Gate no later by 8:30am, with a 90% chances of arriving at Pendant Hut before the briefing start.
- Ferrata climbers are required to attend a compulsory pre-activity briefing and familiarization session at Pendant Hut , which will be start between 3pm-4pm, on the first day of hike. As safety briefing and meeting times for the activities will be told here.
- Cut-off time for via ferrata safety briefing is 4pm. Late arrivals that miss out the briefing session may not be considered eligible to participate in Via Ferrata activity in the next morning.
- Via Ferrata climbers have to be accompanied by a Mountain Torq’s trainer at all times.
- Climbers must arrived at via ferrata activity’s starting point on time. Climbers who fail to comply with the timing will not able to participate in via ferrata activity. No reimbursement shall be made.
- Low’s Peak Circuit Climbers: Please arrived to activity’s starting point at 0630 hrs
- Walk The Torq Climbers: Please arrived to activity’s starting point at 0715 hrs
- In the event of bad weather, the planned activities can and will be cancelled due to safety reason. No reimbursement shall be made.
