We’ll treat you to an early lunch at a local coffee shop, where you can savor the flavors of the region.

With satisfied taste buds and spirits high, we will resume our voyage, reaching the breathtaking Batang Ai Lake between 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM. Brace yourself for the next leg of this epic journey as you step aboard a longboat, eagerly traveling upstream towards the enchanting Nanga Sumpa. Anticipate arriving at this mesmerizing destination at approximately 3:30 PM, though the whims of the river may slightly alter our schedule.

Once you set foot on the picturesque Nanga Sumpa, it’s time to unwind and settle into the comforts of the remarkable lodge. After enjoying a hearty breakfast, Prepare for an exhilarating day of exploration as we embark on an unforgettable hike along the mesmerizing jungle trails nestled alongside the enchanting river. Take in the breathtaking sights and sounds of the rainforest as we continue our adventure by longboat, with an exciting destination in mind: the picturesque Enseluai waterfall. Along the way, if conditions permit, our skilled boatman may showcase the art of Iban-style fishing using a traditional jala or throw net, adding an authentic touch to our journey.

Our next stop is the remarkable Jambu Longhouse, situated approximately 30 minutes upriver from the Nanga Sumpa Lodge. This close-knit community, comprised of eight families, stands as the furthest and most secluded village along the Delok River. Immerse yourself in their culture and traditions as we pay a visit, gaining insight into their unique way of life. Once we’ve experienced the warmth of Jambu, we will resume our journey, heading deeper into the heart of the rainforest.

Anticipation fills the air as we arrive at the awe-inspiring Enseluai waterfall, a tranquil oasis amidst the vibrant rainforest. Take your time to relax, indulge in a refreshing swim, and soak in the majestic surroundings. Prepare your taste buds for a delightful riverside BBQ lunch, lovingly prepared by your gracious Iban hosts, adding a touch of flavor to this already remarkable experience.

Around 1:30 PM, we will embark on a short boat ride of approximately 15 minutes to the junction of the Delok and Lalang Rivers. From there, get ready for an immersive rainforest trek that spans 1 to 2 hours, guiding you through the remarkable orangutan habitat. Finally, arrive at the astounding Lubok Kasai Jungle Camp, nestled along the banks of the Lalang River. As you settle into your new surroundings, feel free to relax, take a refreshing swim in the river, or simply revel in the mesmerizing beauty of the rainforest. Keep your eyes peeled, as sightings of orangutans are not uncommon in this area.

After a delectable dinner, take a moment to bask in the tranquility of the forest, enjoying a serene evening at the camp. While orangutan sightings are infrequent, their nests dotting the trail offer glimpses into their presence. Prepare to be enchanted by the wonders of nature as we explore this biodiverse habitat.

Around 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, we make our way back to the tranquil Lubok Kasai Jungle Camp, where a delicious lunch awaits. With satisfied appetites, the rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Take a refreshing dip in the river, immersing yourself in its cool embrace, or simply unwind amidst the serene rainforest surroundings. Let the soothing ambiance rejuvenate your senses and provide the perfect escape from the demands of everyday life.

As the clock approaches 4:00 PM, embark on an enthralling 1 to 2-hour walk along a captivating trail that meanders alongside the picturesque Lalang River, in a quest to spot the elusive orangutans. Return to camp and relish a delectable dinner that satisfies both body and soul. At around 10:00 AM, we begin our journey downriver, bidding farewell to the camp and returning to the enchanting Nanga Sumpa. As we arrive, an early lunch awaits you at the lodge, providing nourishment for the upcoming adventures. After a satisfying meal, we set off around noon, heading towards the Batang Ai Lake jetty, with an estimated arrival time of approximately 1:30 PM.

Once at the jetty, we transition to an overland adventure, making our way back to the vibrant city of Kuching. Sit back, relax, and soak in the beautiful landscapes as we journey towards our destination. Anticipate reaching Kuching at around 6:30 PM, where we bid you farewell, dropping you off at your hotel.
