Kinabatangan River in the East Coast of Sabah, is the second longest river in Malaysia, with the main tour activity of river cruises. This full-fledged day tour offers you the chances to see some orangutans, proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, and gibbons in their natural habitat. Ideally for those with short trip in Sandakan and would like to include some wildlife encounters into the itinerary.
Upon a hotel pick up from your hotel in Sandakan, embark on a drive towards Kinabatangan flood-plain. A stop at the Gomantong cave to explore the largest limestone & bird nests cave in Sabah where millions of swiftlets make the cave their home. Following this, proceed on to Bilit and have lunch upon arrival. Your guide will take you on an hour nature walk on a nearby trail and enjoy some light refreshment before hop on the boat for 4 pm afternoon cruise along the Kinabatangan river banks, in hope for proboscis monkey, gibbons and the common hornbills soaring the skyline. By 6 pm get ready for your transfer back to Sandakan city.
