Meet and greet at KKIA airport and transfer to your respective hotel.

Picked up from the hotel for an evening city tour of Kota Kinabalu, get to know this laid-back and friendly city as your guide takes you to some of the interesting places of interest. From the observatory tower to the bustling night street market, and winding down at the Kota Kinabalu Waterfront after a satisfying your appetite to one of the popular seafood restaurant in the city.

Drive up the scenic Crocker Range perhaps a chance to view the different faces of Mount Kinabalu the highest point in Borneo Island, en route to Kinabalu Park stop at the local native market where you will be amazed of the diverse types of bananas they have here. A must try is the ‘honey-pineapple’ which as to its name, with no explanation needed they are sweet and juicy. Continue on to visit the Botanical Garden of Kinabalu Park, home to about 1,400 species of plants, fungi and animals endemic to Borneo. Following lunch, check into the mountain lodge and enjoy the rest beautiful cold mountain air. Also a chance to acclimatize before your climb the next day.

Wake up early in the morning and pack up. Breakfast at 07:00am. Don’t forget to get your packed lunch from the restaurant. Meet up at the Sabah Parks registration counter around 08:00am. Our team will assist to register for your hike, where then you will be given an ID Tag (do not lose the tag), a pack lunch and introduced to your mountain guide. Transfer to the starting point. Your climb will start off from Timpohon Gate, here you will get a safety briefing from your mountain guide. The hike today is for 6km, which takes about 4 to 6 hours depending on fitness to reach Laban Rata Rest house. Along the trail there are seven shelters and with toilets for the convenience of climbers. Tap water are available on every shelter as well, the locals (mountain guides and porters) would drink straight from the tap, however we recommend you to use water purification tablets if you choose to refill your water bottle.

Mount Kinabalu is home to more than 1,500 species of plants and animals, do take a break for lunch and to enjoy the fascinating montane forest with pitcher plants, and wild orchids growing wild along the trail.

Upon arrival at the mountain hut, check into your designated bed and settle in. At the restaurant you will have access to filtered drinking water to refill your water bottle. Dinner is served between 4.30 – 6.30 pm and it is an early lights out at 8 pm.

An early morning wake up for supper at 2.30am, meet up with your mountain guide to continue your summit climb for sunrise. Be sure to have your ID tag and headlamp with you during this portion of the climb to the summit, as there is a check point to inspect your ID tag. Witness an exhilarating sunrise from the highest point in Borneo, following a return to Laban Rata enjoy a full breakfast before checking out and descend back to the Timpohon Gate. On average most climbers will take 4 to 5 hours to descend. Our team will be waiting for you at the gate to take you to the restaurant at the Kinabalu Park headquarters for lunch and check into your mountain lodge for a good relaxation.

Leave the hilly Kinabalu and travel along the well-known ‘Sandakan Route’ where the POW of some British and Australian soldiers were forced to march from Sandakan to Ranau during World War II. Upon arrival at Sepilok, following lunch check into your lodge and proceed to the nearby Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Watch the orang utan feeding session up and close. Watch the 25 minutes video show programme and visit the exhibition hall. After Sepilok, proceed to Sun Bear Conservation Centre to see world smallest bear in its natural environment.

After Breakfast. By 8.15 am depart to the jetty for Selingan island also known as turtle island. The journey by boat will take about 1 hour. Upon arrival check in and gear up for snorkeling by the beach area to spot a beautiful marine life. While waiting for dinner help yourself to watch the slideshow on the Selingan island and its turtle. After dinner, standby at the cafeteria and wait for the signal from the ranger before proceed in a small groups to the egg-laying site to see first hand the mother turtle laying eggs. Stay overnight at Selingan Island Chalet.

After breakfast at around 7.00 am departs back to the mainland then proceed to Sandakan Nature city tour. Visit the Sandakan Memorial Park, Puu Jih Shih Buddhist Temple, located on a steep hill top where you can have a magnificent view overlooking Sandakan bay and the town centre. Then continue to St. Michael’s church. Drive to the Central Market to see the local produce being sold. Next visit the Agnes Keith Museum and stop at the nearby English Tea House for lunch. Back on the road again to Gomantong Cave, the house of millions of bats and swiftlets. Continue to the last stop Bilit Adventure Lodge where you will spend the night. Dinner and rest.

Wake up early in the morning. At 0600hrs depart for morning cruise and return back to the lodge for breakfast. Late morning, depart for a guide nature jungle walk to experience the riverine forest. Return to the lodge and freshen up. Lunch. In the afternoon, depart for a second cruise. Dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.

Breakfast. By 8.30 am depart for Sandakan airport, for a flight to Kota Kinabalu and a short boat transfer to Bunga Raya Island Resort. Pamper yourself to some TLC at this magnificent resort offering stunning sunsets and excellent for snorkeling.
