Arrive in Lahad Datu and transfer to Tabin Wildlife Reserve (approx. 1.5 hrs). Upon arrival, check in to your forest chalet and enjoy lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, take your first guided walk to the Lipad Mud Volcano and observation tower, a hotspot for animal activity. After dinner, head out for a night safari drive in search of nocturnal wildlife such as civets, leopard cats, and flying squirrels.
Begin your day with an early morning birdwatching walk around the lodge area, followed by breakfast. Later, set out on a guided jungle trek to explore the diverse flora and fauna of the reserve. Enjoy a dip in a nearby river or waterfall. After a relaxing afternoon, head out for another night drive with your guide.
Spend today at a slower pace. Choose between a longer forest trek, a photography session, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings from your chalet deck. You may also opt for another mud volcano visit or wildlife hide session. A third night safari is available to maximize your chances of rare sightings.
Enjoy one final early morning nature walk and breakfast at the lodge. After check-out, transfer back to Lahad Datu, arriving by late morning or early afternoon.
