Day 1

Sandakan – Turtle island

Meet at your hotel of stay and transfer to the jetty for Selingan Turtle Island, for an hour of boat ride. Upon arrival at Selingan island, enjoy a lunch, optional to do at the island, have a nice an easy by the beach shore or opt for snorkeling. There’s a slideshow on the turtle conservation at Selingan island for visitors. After dinner, standby at the cafeteria and wait for the signal from the ranger before proceed in a small groups to the egg-laying site to see first hand the mother turtle laying eggs. Stay overnight at Selingan Island Chalet.

Day 2

Turtle island – Sepilok orangutan – Kinabatangan

Breakfast. Depart towards Sandakan Jetty, and then transferred to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilition Centre. Proceed to the orangutan feeding platform to view the orangutan feeding, following this take a visit to the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation center to get close to the world smallest bear in its natural environment.

Overland to the Kinabatangan river and check in to your accommodation. By 3.30 pm have some light refreshment before hop on the boat for afternoon cruise along the Kinabatangan river banks. Return back to your lodge, after dinner go on a nature walk

Day 3

Kinabatangan River – Gomantong – Sandakan

Start your day with breakfast, then head to Gomantong Cave, the largest limestone cave in Sabah, home to millions of swiftlets. Transfer to Sandakan city.
