Day 1
Sandakan – Sepilok -Kinabatangan
Meet at Sandakan airport and transfer to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Proceed to the orangutan feeding platform to view the orangutan feeding, following this take a visit to the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation center to get close to the world smallest bear.
Overland to the Kinabatangan river and check in to your accommodation. By 3.30 pm have some light refreshment before hop on the boat for afternoon cruise along the Kinabatangan river banks. Return back to your lodge, after dinner go on a nature walk

Day 2
Kinabatangan River
Wake up early to join the morning cruise at 6 am. Return to the lodge, breakfast and have a rest. Late morning depart for a guided jungle walk to experience the riverine forest. Trek back to the lodge, freshen up and lunch. Free and easy in the afternoon, laze around by the river lodge keep a watchful eyes for wildlife around the lodge area. Around Late afternoon get ready for another river cruise to a different part of the river in hope to see more wildlife.

Day 3
Kinabatangan River – Sandakan
Breakfast and by 8.30 am depart for Gomantong cave to explore the largest limestone & bird nests cave in Sabah where millions of swiftlets make the cave their home. After cave, transfer to Lahad Datu and proceed towards the Danum Valley Field Center. Get registered upon arrival at DVFC reception, and followed by an informative tour at the ‘Exhibition Gallery’. Following lunch, take a break or opt for a self-guided walk along the 500m nature trail for an introduction to the rainforest. Keep watchful eyes around and the area abounds with wildlife and is common to spot Orang Utan, and other animals. Following dinner, take a ride for a night drive in search for wildlife.

Day 4
Danum Valley Field Center
Lace up your hiking boots and start your morning in an exhilarating trek to Rhino Pool, this captivating adventure takes you through dense jungle foliage, babbling streams, and ancient trees, immersing you in the wonders of the rainforest. As you reach Rhino Pool, a tranquil oasis nestled amidst the lush surroundings, take a moment to revel in its serene ambiance and cool waters. Explore the hidden trails that lead to cascading waterfalls and secluded rock formations, and let the magic of this extraordinary experience in Danum Valley leave an indelible mark on your heart. Following lunch, go on a fascinating visit to the Old Burial Site/Coffin Trail. This intriguing journey will take you on a 1.7-kilometer trek from the Centre, leading you to discover the historical significance of the area. Delve into the stories of the past as you walk in the footsteps of those who came before.

Day 5
Danum Valley – Lahad Datu – Kota Kinabalu City
Free and easy in the morning. Check out and transfer back to Lahad Datu Airport, for a short flight to Kota Kinabalu City. Enjoy an evening shopping at the street market and followed by a night out by the waterfront.

Day 6
Kota Kinabalu – Mulu National Park
Arriving in the morning at Mulu Airport, our guide will be there to greet you and assist with check-in at the Mulu National Park accommodation. After a delicious lunch, embark on a thrilling 3 km plank walk to explore both the Deer Cave and Lang Cave. A highlight of the day is witnessing the breathtaking spectacle of millions of bats emerging from the vast mouth of the Deer Cave (weather permitting). After an unforgettable experience, return to your accommodation for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 7
Mulu National Park
After breakfast, depart on a long boat going up river towards the Wind Cave via the Penan settlement. Visit the settlement and observe the culture of this tribe. Proceeds on to visit Wind Cave and explore the limestone formation of this unique ecosystem. Continue the journey by plank walk to Clearwater Cave where more interesting stalactites and stalagmites formation can be seen. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Clearwater summer huts, before returning back to your accommodation.

After breakfast free and easy to your check-out, and transfer to Mulu airport for your onwards departure flight.
