Climbing Mount Kinabalu with a Budget? There’s an alternative solution..
Kinotoki Hut is a budget accommodation choice for thrifty climbers, the accommodation is basic equipped with dormitory beds and toilet amenities, with no hot showers. As for meals climbers staying at the Kinotoki Hut would need to commute back and forth to the Laban Rata Restaurant for all their meals, from dinner, early morning supper (before going up the summit) and breakfast after coming back from the Mount Kinabalu summit.

Clean toilet and showers are provided, however no heater is available for a chance of hot shower

The hostel is about 10 minutes walk (up and down) from the Laban Rata Restaurant, where climbers staying in Kinotoki Hut will need to take all their meals from the main restaurant. (dinner at 6.30 pm, supper at 1.30 am and breakfast at 8 am)
